If you think that you can do better then glove up. Vera, much younger and perhaps stronger, should have put Randy away quickly if he was up to par. However, Randy punked him most of the fight without compromising his style. He has always fought within close range and litterally smothers his apponents. It doesn't matter how you win; just win. Armchair quarterbacks are always quick to judge but would piss their pants if they had to go up against a champion like Randy Couture. Congrats Randy, I for one, enjoyed the fight. A win is a win. Vera should have finished him if he was that good, we're talking about the same Vera that everytime he gets a big fight he struggles. Randy was not at his best and he is 46, I agree it was a close fight, but Couture is strong in that division, dana did sign him to 6 more fights after all. Is he champ material after that fight, Hell no. But he's still dangerous, as far as him being done, let these so called MMA fans think where this great sport would be without Couture, Liddell, Ortiz and Hughes. They're all gettin old and probably do need to retire but they paved the way with the help of other greats. Don't forget that. Come on man!
